A man and his wife are both dead after an incident at the Hurst Wal-Mart store on Harwood and Precinct Line Road, reports CBS11TV.
According to police, 50-year-old Sandra Bentley walked out of the Wal-Mart store and into the front parking lot. Apparently her husband, later identified by police as 53-year-old Curtis Bentley, was waiting in a dark-colored Chrysler in a back parking lot.
According to witnesses, when Sandra Bentley got near the end of the parking lot Curtis Bentley accelerated and ran her down from behind.
“We have indication that there was acceleration prior to the impact that was somewhat of a distance back behind the vehicle,” Hurst Police Department Sgt. Crain Teague said.

Hurst police said a man ran over his wife, killing her, and then fatally shot himself in a Walmart parking lot Thursday morning, reported NBC5TV.
Police said Sandy Bentley, of Grapevine, was walking out of the Walmart in the 1700 block of Precinct Road when her husband, Curtis Bentley, allegedly hit her.
“We have some indication that there was some acceleration prior to the impact,” said Sgt. Craig Teague.
Officers said Curtis Bentley then drove the Chrysler 300 about 30 yards before stopping the car and shooting himself.
He died on the scene.

Police say a man ran down his wife with his car in the parking lot of a busy North Texas Wal-Mart and then turned a gun on himself yesterday, Fox 4 TV reports.
Witnesses said 53-year-old Curtis Bentley ran over his wife, 50-year-old Wal-Mart employee Sandy Bentley, with his car in the parking lot.
Police said by the time they arrived, Curtis Bentley had shot himself.
Four children were left without parents.
