Texas teen sentenced to 60 years in prison for fatal stabbing of girlfriend’s mom

June 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Denton County teenager Paul Allen Henson Jr., 17, pleaded guilty June 10 to the fatal stabbing of his girlfriend’s mother and was sentenced to 60 years in prison for murdering Roanoke resident Susan Bailey, who was upset that her daughter was seeing him.

Her two children are also charged with committing the crime.

Jennifer Bailey, 18, was charged with capital murder and remains in Denton County Jail, as well as her 14-year-old son, who faces juvenile charges.

How do children become so evil to actually kill their mothers because they jsut want to do what they want to do! Apparently the Demonic Bible was found by police at his residence.

Irish abuse victims march to demand justice, Catholic Church repents

June 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment

IRELAND CATHOLIC ABUSE

The Roman Catholic Church is in the news again for sexual and physical abuse of children after its Irish Bishops Council admitted and apologized for widespread acts of abuse of children committed and covered up by priests and nuns in Ireland during the last Century.

The Pope has also apologized and asked that victims be assisted.

Over 7,000 concerned citizens, including hundreds of victims, marched silently on the Irish Parliament in Dublin last week to protest the government’s and church’s lack of action.

Read the stories here by Reuters.

So many Catholic Church priest and leaders have been found guilty of abuse and cover-ups that I have to ask…is there any doubt that God washed his hands of their denomination years ago, if ever He was involved with their faith?

If you want to learn how extensive the abuse and cover-up has been, read the investigative report here by The Dallas Morning News. This report was issued in 2002. There have been many more revelations about abuse since. It says that roughly two-thirds of top U.S. Catholic leaders have allowed priests accused of sexual abuse to keep working.

How could anyone continue to be a practicing Catholic? It cannot be the church of God or Jesus Christ. It has become so corrupt. And the cases are not just isolated.

Luther, Calvin, Huss, Zwingli, Tyndale and many others risked and sacrificed their lives to call for reform in the Church, beginning in the 1500s. The corruption and perversion appears to be just as bad now, if not worse!

No small wonder that the books and movies ”Angels & Demons” and “The Da Vinci Code” have become so popular, since they theorize cover-ups in the Catholic Church for centuries.

There are so many alternative denominations for those of you who want to worship God and Christ.

Contact Texas Governor to stop CPS from entering homes, taking children without court orders

June 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment

gov. perry

Unless Texas Gov. Rick Perry vetoes Senate bill 1440 soon, CPS (Child Protective Services) caseworkers will be able to enter homes without court orders and take any children they suspect are being abused.

Is this good or bad?

I can see it from both sides, but yesterday State Rep. Jodie Laubenberg convinced me that it’s a bad idea because there are already mechanisms in place to protect children in emergency situations.

She doesn’t want to see unchecked arbitrary access into homes by CPS. Neither do I.

There have been far too many horror stories of CPS workers taking children that they shouldn’t have, and not taking children when they should have. Consider the El Dorado polygamist community, for example. All but one of their 400 children were returned, after CPS seized the children – as it turned out – illegally.

Read the Dallas Morning News story about the CPS bill here.

Then call the Governor’s office  if you oppose the bill, which has already been passed by the Texas House and Senate.
